This disc is the result of several years work on and off. In an earlier
incarnation part of it was transmitted as Telesoftware on the BBC for a
few weeks and had a good reception. The Kidtoms practice level program
will run on an old BBC B machine and is included here simply to help learn
how to use the main Archimedes version. It has a help page that is missing
on the higher levels. The Polymos proper program requires some Font
space, '5' on a 310 will do. (It should run on a 305 with no problems at
all.) It uses non standard settings for the anti-alias edges of the
letters to make them readable on a non high-res screen. Otherwise I would
not use them at all! There is a proc for inserting a special silly sound
when you 'win', I just haven't bother to do so yet.
I have an even more splendid version on the stocks that will print out
all the solutions that have been stored on disc. Also it will allow the
creation of any shape (animals etc)of any number of squares and save them
and their solutions to disc as well. If there is sufficient interest I
will finish the program, also I could upgrade the practice prog and
instructions etc.
As this has been quite an undertaking I would be grateful if satisfied
users would be so kind as to help me cover my costs... None of the price
of this Careware disc comes to me as it is.
Any such donations or other enquiries please to Simon Anthony, 62 Rutland
Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5DG.
I hope you like them, I am rather pleased. (The programming style is not
what you would call structured however. Look on this as my copyright
protection! I retain all rights but don't mind people looking at my clever
bits or doctoring the prog for personal or educational uses. Just don't
sell it!)

RISC OS Version, 02/07/90
By Nick Smith
I don't know Simon personally, but I found this program of his on an Archive
Careware disc, and thought it rather neat. However, to place it on the school
net (for educational purposes), it required some modifications. If you wish
to contact me, then I should be available through school at :

PS : When I call this the "RISC OS" version, don't take it TOO literally !
It has only a few small changes so that the code is not CSD dependant.
